By purchasing dahlias from us you are agreeing to these terms and conditions
It’s important to me that you love these dahlias as much as I do. If you have any concerns about your plants, please contact me via email rather than social media.
Early Orders Prior to Sale Launch: My website platform does not provide the best options to lock my shop in order to add inventory. I have gone to extensive efforts to remove access from all customers in my system. Although my reports show no customer has access to my private (locked) pages, customers get thru each time and make purchases. When this happens, I have to go back through all my inventory adjustments to make sure everything is accurate so I don’t oversell. To be fair to my customers, all early orders will be cancelled, and a 15% restock fee assessed on the order total. I reserve the right to delete the customer account, cancel any pending orders which will also be assessed a 15% restock fee, and refuse all future orders.
Quantity Minimums: Please respect the quantity minimums. All minimums are per household. Purchasing over the set minimum could result in cancellation of your full order in addition to a 15% restock fee assessed on the order total.
Cancellations & Order Changes - Once an order is placed, I cannot add or subtract items. If you want any additional items not included in your original order, please place a new order. I am not able to accept cancellations.
Tuber Quality Guarantee — Your support to our small farm means so much to us and it will always be my goal for you to be more than happy with the product you receive. I guarantee that your tubers will arrive with at least one eye. Please inspect your tubers immediately upon arrival. If you have any questions or concerns, please email maggie@merakiwildflower.com within 5 days of receiving your order. I am unable to offer any refunds after the 5 days. I am not responsible for any damage caused by your weather conditions, pest pressure, your field/soil conditions or negligence. Reselling tubers or cuttings originally purchased from me automatically voids any and all guarantees.
Virus Policy — I have been studying dahlia viruses for close to two years, and am very confident in my ability to recognize and differentiate symptoms. Throughout the growing season, I aggressively remove any plant showing virus symptoms. My tools are sanitized with a 10% bleach solution between plants, for ALL types of cuts. In addition to aggressive culling, I rotate pest control methods to prevent and control aphids and thrips, the two vectors responsible for spreading the four viruses currently wreaking havoc in dahlias. Despite best efforts, virus is still very common in dahlias (approximately 90% of dahlias have one or more types of virus) and by purchasing these tubers, you are accepting the fact that virus will sometimes emerge, and any dahlias showing symptoms of/testing positive for virus and/or disease will not be refunded or replaced.
If you're interested in learning more about dahlia virus, please visit the Dahlia Data page, or contact me with any questions.
Substitutions — Since I am a very small grower, I do not offer substitutions for stock loss. If there should be any stock loss between the time you place your order and when your order ships, you will be notified via email and refunded appropriately.
Dahlia Tuber Shipping — A flat fee of $15 will be charged on all orders to cover shipping costs. Tuber shipment will begin in April- when there is no danger of frost in your region. All orders are shipped via USPS. Once an order is placed, I am unable to make any changes or add/subtract items. Order cancellations are not accepted. Orders can be combined with a $3 labor fee per order. This fee will be deducted from the shipping overage and the adjusted shipping cost will be refunded to the original payment method at the time of shipment. To request combined shipping, please send an email to maggie@merakiwildflower.com after placing your orders and make sure to include all of your order numbers. I will not automatically combine orders unless requested.
Fall shipped tubers will be shipped within 1-2 weeks of purchase, via USPS Priority Mail, in a box with an insulated bag and heat pack. Customers who would like fall shipment, please contact me directly to make arrangements. Fall shipment is offered only to experienced dahlia growers. An additional $10 fee will be required for fall shipping.
12/10/2023 UPDATE
As of this date, I will no longer offer combined shipping.
Fall shipping is closed for the 2023-2024 growing season.
US Shipping Only. I do not currently ship outside of the US. This includes not shipping to mail forwarding services that forward US shipments to other countries. Any orders using such services will be cancelled, and a 15% restock fee charged. Placing such orders puts me at risk since it is illegal to ship plant products to other counties without a phytosanitary certificate.
Although I love receiving orders in pretty packaging and boxes, most of the materials I use for shipping are recycled. If your order contains 'Styrofoam Peanuts', don't worry, they are biodegradable!
I am licensed, and inspected by my state AG Department.
I reserve the right to update and make changes to these policies without notification.
I reserve the right to refuse service to any customer at any time.
